Community Connections

Parents play a vital role in the education of their children. We at KIS Seoul Campus intentionally foster the partnership between the students, their families and our staff. We offer several ways for parents to be involved in their child’s education.

We have an active Parent Teacher Organisation (PTO) that hosts several activities and fundraisers, and assists in the planning process to coordinate festive celebrations. More importantly, parents are invited to volunteer and support activities in the classroom as Parent Liaisons. The PTO also provides support to implement a variety of student-centered learning experiences. Not only can parents play an active role in the PTO but they can volunteer to work as a Parent Liaisons. Parent Liaisons work closely with the homeroom teachers to plan and organize events for each class including group family outings.

Last, but certainly not least, parents are always welcometo volunteer as chaperones on a variety of enriching and exciting field trips around our host city of Seoul. This is a great way to see the children interact with their peers in rich learning experiences. Field trips are closely aligned with our curricular content areas, which give parents a great view into the daily learning experiences our teachers provide their students.
